ABOUT MAX
I am from El Dorado Hills, California. I have played golf since I was 4 years old and basketball since I was 2. I have grown up to be a diehard Sacramento Kings fanatic. And since my father was raised in Georgia, I am an Atlanta Braves & Falcons faithful. I have always dreamed of a career in the sports world, but have yet to pursue it. I always try to spend time with my loved ones. My father is my hero, and every day I try to emulate his personal and professional persona. I have a wonderful family and girlfriend (and 2 dogs!), all of whom are special to me. I am an extremely hardworking individual, and once I put my mind to something, it is very hard to get me to stray from it. As a result, I am a perfectionist, which is a blessing and a curse. I am an acting Marketing Manager for Muddy Gecko Inc., and have been in this role for 2+ years. I utilize platforms and services such as Adobe CC, LinkedIn Campaigns, Google Ads, and Google Analytics to create deliverables and manage paid advertisements & campaigns for clients. I am very privileged to be in the position that I am today, and am developing the skillset and experience required to enter the workforce at an advantageous position. My motto is to find joy in what you do, and always keep moving forward.
University:
I am currently attending the University of Arizona in pursuit of a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree in the field of Business Management. I was involved in Intramural basketball and flag football before the COVID-19 Pandemic. I joined the Eller Golf Club in the 2nd semester of my Sophomore year. I was offered and accepted the role of President later that year. In this position, I am in charge of communication within the club, recruiting guest speakers and new members, managing our finances, as well as organizing a charity golf tournament at the end of the academic year that brings people from around the world.
Hobbies:
My favorite activity is golf. Since I've been playing practically my whole life, I've worked my way down to a 2 handicap. Golf is a sport that I can play until my late years and is something that I will be able to do with my grandchildren; that is why golf is the greatest sport in the world. I have recently decided to start a podcast. It will cover a variety of topics: mostly sports, with some others in the mix such as music, gaming, and just chatting. I aim to have guest speakers appear to talk about different subjects in order to entertain and attract new viewers. Beginning in my freshman year of college, I found a liking for weightlifting. Being fairly lean as a kid, I have since found joy in watching my body progress and grow over the past 2 years. This is something that I intend to continue in order to remain in healthy physical shape. Not only is it good for my body, it is healthy for my mentality as well. I find weightlifting to be an escape from the other aspects of my life. It is an hour where I can turn my mind off and push myself to my limit.
